Job Summary

The Accountant prepares, analyzes and reviews financial statements using accounting principles in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and enterprise allocation methods.

Requirements

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. If degree is in Finance, successful completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II required. Employees within the accounting/finance function of the Enterprise who are actively enrolled in an accredited collegiate program in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance will be considered once they successfully complete Intermediate Accounting I & II.

EXPERIENCE

• Prior accounting experience desirable.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-Oriented
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint).

LOCATION

This is a hybrid role in our Little Rock, AR, location, requiring a minimum of three days in office weekly.

Responsibilities

• Assists with financial reporting audits, working with the internal audits, Arkansas Insurance Department, independent auditors, and/or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association. • May assists in special projects, as directed. • May be required to analyze and review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. • Performs general accounting functions, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounting analysis and reconciliation. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Prepares supporting financial data as required. • Reconciles, confirms and maintains general ledger accounts.

Hiring Range

$53,700.00 - $64,850.00
