At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

About the Team

The Restraints Engineering team is responsible for delivering occupant safety systems that integrate hardware, validation, suppliers, and vehicle programs. The team works across engineering, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, testing, and external suppliers to ensure restraint components mature on time and meet program requirements. Its work directly supports vehicle safety, validation readiness, and successful program launches. This is a highly cross-functional environment where disciplined planning and rapid issue resolution are essential.

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead program execution for Restraints Engineering. This role exists to connect supplier development, planning BOM maturity, engineering changes, cost, parts procurement, logistics, and system validation into one integrated delivery plan. You will partner with restraints engineers, suppliers, test teams, purchasing, manufacturing, warehouse operations, and adjacent interior and seating teams. In the first 12 months, success means program milestones are met, validation parts arrive at the correct test locations on time, risks are escalated early, and leadership has clear visibility through accurate dashboards and readiness metrics. This role offers direct ownership of the operational system that turns safety-system designs into validated, launch-ready vehicle content.

 What You Own

Program Delivery: Own the integrated Restraints project plan across scope, timing, budget, parts ordering, sub-assembly builds, and validation deliverables, ensuring program milestones are met.

  • Supplier Execution: Drive Restraints suppliers to deliver mature components on time, resolve execution gaps, and align their plans with vehicle program and validation milestones.
  • BOM and Cost: Own planning BOM readiness by tracking part-number maturity, engineering changes, piece price, engineering development and testing costs, and tooling impacts; provide clear input to budget and sourcing decisions.
  • Validation Readiness: Translate engineering validation plans into complete test-part requirements and ensure the correct parts are specified, procured, built, shipped, and available when testing begins.
  • Risk and Metrics: Proactively identify program risks, issues, and cross-project dependencies; maintain dashboards, KPIs, and escalation paths that drive timely decisions and issue closure.
  • Cross-Functional Logistics: Coordinate suppliers, engineering, purchasing, warehouse, freight, packaging, trade compliance, manufacturing, and adjacent seating and interior teams to deliver safe, compliant domestic and international material flow for engineering builds and tests.

 What You Bring

Qualifications

  • Generally, requires 5+ years of related experience.
  • Project management experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs.
  • Automotive industry experience, including experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build executable plans across resources, strategy, cost, and timing.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, including the ability to build and maintain actionable dashboards and metrics.
  • A small amount of travel may be required to support suppliers, testing, builds, and operational teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting automotive restraints, occupant safety, system integration, or validation testing.
  • Experience managing planning BOMs, part-number maturity, engineering changes, and cost walks.
  • Experience coordinating engineering parts, warehouse operations, packaging, freight, hazardous materials, or international shipments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited oversight in a fast-paced environment
