POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Advisory Services, the Lead, Strategic Planning and governance – Advisory Services acts as the central lead for cross-Advisory planning, executive coordination, governance and performance. The incumbent translates enterprise, business line and operational priorities into integrated plans, governance routines, decision materials, performance planning and follow-up actions.

The role works with Advisory Services leaders, Operations teams, Business Planning & Performance, Finance, Corporate Strategy and other partners to ensure multi-area priorities are clearly articulated, aligned, tracked and reported in support of corporate objectives and business line performance.

The incumbent orchestrates the Advisory Services management rhythm, including ASLT meetings, national forums, annual planning, performance routines, executive reporting and selected cross-functional initiatives. The role supports leadership decision-making by tracking commitments and progress, surfacing dependencies, identifying risks.

The role does not replace the accountability of Advisory Services leaders. It strengthens alignment across their mandates by providing a single point of integration for strategic planning, performance, governance, and cross-functional follow-through.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Integrated planning and enterprise alignment

• Act as senior liaison between the SVP, Advisory leaders, COO teams, Finance, BP&I, Corporate Strategy and other stakeholders.
• Serve as the central coordination point for SVP matters, clarifying needs, gathering inputs and preparing timely recommendations.
• Align Advisory priorities with corporate objectives, enterprise processes, capacity, financial plans and cross-business dependencies.
• Lead Advisory Services annual business unit planning and portfolio progress, including prioritization, governance, deliverables, corporate alignment and prepare materials required for SVP and ASLT decisions.
• Coordinate Advisory input into corporate planning, government responses, COO / SMC reporting and other enterprise requests.

Strategic initiatives and governance

• Oversee and collaborate with BDC stakeholders on selected initiatives such as Client Experience, AS strategy, Employee Experience and other SVP-assigned cross-functional initiatives.
• Support the AS Transformation Lead in establishing governance for major transformation activities, ensuring alignment, risk visibility, execution follow-up and impact measurement.
• Own, orchestrate and contribute to AS Leadership Team meetings; national forums and offsites, including agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up plans.

Performance, financial planning and executive reporting

• Partner with the Business Performance & Planning team to:
• Deliver the Advisory Services performance guidelines (including facilitation of ASLT working sessions), scorecards and conduct related analysis to support fact-based management decisions and timely follow-up actions.
• Define the Advisory services financial plan, annual targets and annual budgets definition-distribution-monitoring for both advisory teams and financing teams (advisory targets).
• Prepare the report on business lines and SMC updates for Advisory Services.
• Own performance administration for AS employees; including analysis; insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with the Business Insights team on strategic KPIs
• Coordinate executive reporting, including COO QBR inputs, government responses and ad hoc requests.
• Produce insights and recommendations to support improvement, management decisions and in-year adjustments.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce, management, finance, marketing or another relevant discipline.
• Approximately 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in consulting, business planning, enterprise project management, financial planning, operational execution, or strategy implementation.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to convert complex information into clear recommendations, executive materials and action plans.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate initiatives across multiple senior stakeholders, manage dependencies, and influence without direct authority.
• Demonstrated capability as a strategic thinker with experience driving cross-functional improvement programs, change management and implementation of operational priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, communication, presentation and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage sensitive information with judgment and discretion, operate under tight deadlines and support executive-level decision-making.
• Strong command of PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft 365 tools, with the ability to prepare executive-level materials and analysis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both official languages, French and English.
