The Spare Parts Coordinator plays a key role within Valmet. This position manages customer orders throughout the entire Order-to-Cash process, from order entry to payment receipt, while ensuring effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders. The role combines hands-on order management with leadership support responsibilities, ensuring efficient operations and high levels of customer servi
ce. Success requires strong relationship-building, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of best practices for order management and customer communication
- Serve as an escalation point for complex customer, order, pricing, delivery, and invoicing issues.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance teams to streamline workflows, remove bottlenecks, and improve customer service.
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Foster strong relationships with key customers and accounts to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business growth.
- Participate in periodic calls with Sales to review customer order status, priorities, and opportunities.
- Process customer orders for parts and consumables received via email and other communication channels, and provide timely order acknowledgements.
- Identify requested items using Valmet documentation, engineering, and business systems.
- Determine item costs, lead times, and availability through collaboration with internal stakeholders and available information systems.
- Establish sales pricing in accordance with Valmet policies
- Act as the primary customer contact regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate order status updates to customers.
- Support accounts receivable activities
What you'll need:
5+ years of experience in customer service, account management or related roles. A mix of relevant education and experience can also be considered. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
