The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic Global Ad Technology Department. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and deployment of high-performance, scalable, and resilient advertising technology solutions that power Rakuten's global e-commerce ecosystem.

You will work as part of a collaborative team, tackling interesting engineering challenges related to data processing, system performance, and distributed architectures. Specifically, as a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software features and components for our core advertising platforms and services.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Scala, Go, Python).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
