Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure all Safety, Health and Environment guidelines are followed in all production departments. Promptly address any safety issues or incidents.
2. Spend a minimum of 75% of time on production floor leading associates.
3. Responsible for staffing and training plans within the department.
4. Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates.
5. Provide a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher expectations.
6. Implement BD Excellence components and programs within the manufacturing unit
7. Ensure an open flow of communication exists between production associates and management. Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates.
8. Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.
9. Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities.
10. Execute People and Production Planning to establish production schedules, monitor performance versus schedule for the department.
11. Track production metrics to ensure that department goals are being met. Communicates these metrics and progress to associates and management.
12. Lead daily production operations.
13. Ensure that all reports/documents/DHRs/charts are reviewed and signed off.
14. Report problems or concerns with quality, processes, equipment, materials, and labor to Cell Leader according to the TM Escalation Pathway.
15. Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
Deliverables:
- Ensure manufactured products meet the established quality requirements.
- Meet or exceed operational objectives (i.e. safety, quality, production, cost, etc.).
- Effectively lead and develop others to aide in building a high performing production team.
