Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer to join our BMO ServiceNow team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions with a strong focus on IT Service Management (ITSM), Artificial Intelligence capabilities, Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Enterprise Workflow Automation.

This role requires deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform, hands-on development experience, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and platform administrators to deliver innovative and scalable solutions that drive operational excellence and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

ServiceNow Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, configure, and support ServiceNow applications and modules.
• Build and maintain custom workflows, integrations, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer solutions, and Service Catalog items.
• Develop scalable and reusable ServiceNow solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Participate in platform upgrades, releases, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Create technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment procedures.

IT Service Management (ITSM)

• Implement and enhance ServiceNow ITSM capabilities including:
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Request Management
  • Knowledge Management
  • CMDB, CSDM and Service Mapping
• Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with process owners to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.

AI & Automation

• Implement and optimize ServiceNow AI-powered capabilities, including:
  • Predictive Intelligence
  • Virtual Agent
  • Generative AI
  • Now Assist
  • AI Search
  • Intelligent Routing and Classification
• Design intelligent workflows to improve employee and customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to reduce operational effort and improve service outcomes.

Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

• Design and implement ServiceNow GRC/IRM solutions, including:
  • Policy and Compliance Management
  • Risk Management
  • Audit Management
  • Vendor Risk Management
  • Operational Resilience
• Support regulatory compliance and risk management initiatives.
• Configure risk assessment workflows and reporting dashboards.

Integration & Collaboration

• Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, and APIs.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on complex initiatives.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to solution design discussions.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• 5+ years implementing enterprise ITSM solutions within ServiceNow.
• Proven experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities and workflow automation.
• Hands-on experience implementing GRC/IRM solutions.
• Strong JavaScript development skills within the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience with integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, and IntegrationHub.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess:

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

Preferred CIS Certifications

One or more of the following ServiceNow CIS certifications:

• CIS - IT Service Management (ITSM) (Highly Preferred)
• CIS - Risk and Compliance
• CIS - Integrated Risk Management (IRM)
• CIS - Customer Service Management (CSM)
• CIS - Discovery
• CIS - Service Mapping
• CIS - Application Portfolio Management (APM)

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
