Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment, mainly chillers, under Service Agreements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and operational issues and provide appropriate technical recommendations.
- Execute and supervise repair, commissioning, and service activities.
- Attend customer complaints, investigate issues, and provide effective solutions.
- Support after-sales service sales by identifying repair, replacement, upgrade, and maintenance opportunities.
- Attend technical meetings with customers, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare JHA, Method Statements, work permits, safety documentation, and other jobsite requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, technicians, and internal teams for smooth execution of service activities.
- Manage and forecast spare parts requirements for repair and maintenance works.
- Connect and monitor chillers through the Carrier Smart Service Platform and prepare equipment performance reports.
- Prepare technical reports, service reports, commissioning/start-up reports, and monthly chiller performance reports.
- Conduct technical and product training for customers, contractors, and in-house technicians.
- Liaise with factory technical teams and follow up on technical issues, service bulletins, and product-related matters.
- Support the Service Manager in daily operational and technical activities.
- Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies and customer site safety requirements.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in chiller servicing, commissioning, troubleshooting, or repair.
- Knowledge of centrifugal, screw, or water-cooled chiller systems.
- Experience in reading electrical/control drawings and interpreting equipment operating parameters.
- Familiarity with BMS, IoT/remote monitoring, or smart service platforms is an advantage.
- Experience working in data centres, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, or large-scale HVAC projects is highly desirable.
- Strong report-writing, coordination, and project execution skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as lead and support technicians on site.
