Come Drive Innovation with Us. We are currently looking for a Senior Transportation and Customs Analyst to join our team in Arizona.

A Day in the Life:     

• Plan and schedule predetermined and ad hoc domestic transportation shipments for test vehicle fleet, of approximately 2,000 vehicles

• Request bids for each shipment from various transport vendors

• Accurately track all quotes for comparison value and cost savings reporting

• Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery

• Work directly with customers and carriers on a daily basis, communicating service status

• Develop recovery plans for service failures or late deliveries when needed

• Serve as first point-of-contact for schedule changes and communicate appropriately and timely with all affected parties

• Assign required budget coding per vehicle, maintain knowledge of program financials

• Accountable for review, processing, and approval of invoices from transportation vendors

• Process damage claims

• Provide estimates to internal clients for budget forecasting

• Establish and enhance service levels associated with all vendors

• Generate reports for management and client

• Serve as Engineering Fleet Management point of contact and subject matter expert for all things’ transportation. Establish best practices, initiate continuous process improvement and efficiencies, and generate cost savings ideas.

• Support additional needs of Engineering Fleet Management department per request of management to include assisting with special projects and workload leveling as needed

• Serve as secondary back-up for Vehicle Shipping & Receiving department.

 • Ability to meet deadlines and attention to critically of response time is essential in this position as this position is responsible for coordinating transportation of highly valuable assets to and from critical test events.

Who We’re Looking for:  

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience OR 9 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree required. Substitute experience for the degree is in addition to the experience required for the role. 
• Four or more years of related experience in the shipping and transportation industry, specifically import and export, or analyst skills in a commercial environment at a professional level preferred. Job will involve some outdoor duties (approximately 80% office and 20% on-the-ground vehicle handling)
• Highly proficient computer skills and technology-driven, with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
