Role Overview 

Astera Labs is seeking a hands-on Senior Sourcing Specialist – Asia Corporate Services & Operations to support sourcing, procurement, supplier management, and purchasing activities across our Asia operations, based in Taipei, Taiwan. This role will support laboratories, engineering infrastructure, capital equipment, facilities, corporate services, and office operations across Taipei, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Singapore. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with Engineering, Facilities, IT, Finance, and Business Operations teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of equipment, services, and infrastructure required to support Astera Labs' continued growth throughout Asia. 

This position requires strong sourcing and procurement fundamentals, supplier relationship management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and purchasing activities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and regional suppliers. 

A Day in the Life 

In this role, you'll work closely with Engineering, Facilities, IT, and site leadership teams across Asia to support the operational needs of rapidly growing offices and laboratories. You will help enable new lab deployments, office expansions, and ongoing site operations by sourcing equipment, managing supplier relationships, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. 

Your responsibilities will range from obtaining supplier quotations and coordinating purchases for laboratory equipment and test infrastructure to supporting office build-outs, facility projects, workplace services, and operational expenditures across multiple locations. You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve sourcing and procurement challenges, track deliveries, and support business continuity across Astera Labs' regional operations. 

This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong organization, responsiveness, customer service, and the ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Support sourcing and procurement activities for Astera Labs operations across Taipei, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Singapore. 

• Source and purchase laboratory equipment, test infrastructure, facilities equipment, office furnishings, IT hardware, and corporate services. 

• Execute RFQs, supplier evaluations, bid comparisons, and commercial negotiations in partnership with internal stakeholders. 

• Support supplier selection, contract administration, and purchasing activities across assigned spend categories. 

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and service providers throughout Asia. 

• Partner with Engineering teams to procure lab equipment, tools, test systems, and infrastructure required for product development and validation. 

• Support Facilities teams with office build-outs, site expansions, facility upgrades, furniture purchases, contractor sourcing, and workplace infrastructure projects. 

• Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, delivery tracking, invoice resolution, and supplier communications. 

• Coordinate supplier onboarding, documentation collection, and compliance requirements. 

• Monitor supplier performance and support vendor business reviews. 

• Collaborate with Finance and Global Procurement to ensure purchasing activities align with budgets, policies, and company procedures. 

• Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier improvements, and process efficiencies. 

• Assist with logistics coordination for equipment shipments, imports, exports, and site deliveries when required. 

• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. 

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field. 

• 5–8+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related functions. 

• Experience sourcing capital equipment, laboratory equipment, facilities-related purchases, technical products, or corporate services. 

• Experience working with suppliers, negotiating pricing, and supporting commercial agreements. 

• Familiarity with procurement and ERP systems such as Coupa, Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms. 

• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

• Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required. 

• Experience working with suppliers and service providers throughout Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience supporting semiconductor, electronics, hardware, laboratory, or engineering organizations. 

• Experience supporting semiconductor R&D labs, validation labs, or engineering development environments. 

• Knowledge of supplier markets and sourcing practices across Taiwan and the Asia-Pacific region. 

• Experience supporting laboratory build-outs, office build-outs, facility expansions, or workplace infrastructure projects. 

• Familiarity with CapEx procurement and facilities project sourcing. 

• Experience working within a global, high-growth technology company. 

• Additional Asia-Pacific language capabilities are a plus. 

• CPSM, CSCP, or similar professional certifications are a plus.
