The Senior Manager of Data and Analytics leads the development and execution of enterprise data and analytics strategies, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps while overseeing the delivery of scalable solutions that support business objectives and long-term organizational growth. This IT leadership role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate organizational priorities into practical data products, reporting capabilities, and analytics solutions. The Senior Manager helps advance enterprise data capabilities, promotes effective governance practices, and drives the adoption of data-informed decision making across the organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads multiple data and analytics initiatives that support business decision making, operational visibility, and continuous improvement across the organization. 
• Develops and executes data and analytics roadmaps aligned with business priorities, digital transformation efforts, and organizational goals. 
• Provides leadership and oversight for data engineering, reporting, business intelligence, and analytics capabilities. 
• Partners with business and technology leaders to identify opportunities to improve business performance through data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. 
• Supports the development and continuous improvement of enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices. 
• Oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of data warehouses, lakes, lakehouses, and reporting environments while ensuring security, privacy, and compliance requirements are met. 
• Guides data quality, integration, transformation, and stewardship activities to improve data reliability and usability. 
• Oversees delivery of dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics products that provide actionable business insights. 
• Evaluates emerging technologies and analytics capabilities and recommends improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and business value. 
• Collaborates with enterprise architecture, application, and business teams to ensure data solutions align with broader technology strategies. 
• Manages departmental resources, project priorities, and vendor relationships to support successful delivery of key initiatives. 
• Coaches and develops analytics professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, and reporting concepts. 
• Experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms, including Azure data services, Databricks, semantic models, and BI platforms. 
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, privacy, security, and regulatory best practices. 
• Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities. 
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Experience developing teams and influencing organizational priorities through collaboration and expertise. 
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 

Education and/or Experience:

• Typically 8-10+ years of experience in business analytics, data engineering, data architecture, business intelligence, data science, reporting, or related disciplines. 
• Experience leading teams, large-scale initiatives, and cross-functional programs. 
• Experience developing analytics roadmaps, governance practices, and scalable data solutions. 
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $160,000 - $200,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
