The Receptionist is the first point of contact for employees, visitors, candidates, customers, and vendors and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional experience.
This highly visible, service-oriented position manages the front desk, answers and directs incoming calls, supports day-to-day office needs, and helps ensure the reception and common areas remain organized and ready for business.
This role is ideal for someone who is personable, dependable, highly organized, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Front Desk & Visitor Experience
- Greet and assist employees, visitors, candidates, customers, and vendors in a warm and professional manner.
- Manage visitor check-in procedures, issue badges, and notify employees of guest arrivals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area and monitor nearby common spaces.
- Coordinate visitor parking, building access, and conference room directions as needed.
- Follow established security, safety, and confidentiality procedures at all times.
Phone, Mail & Administrative Support
- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and courteously; take accurate messages when appropriate.
- Monitor general reception email inquiries and direct requests to the appropriate team or employee.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, deliveries, and packages, and coordinate outgoing shipments.
- Provide general administrative support, including document preparation, copying, scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Assist with scheduling conference rooms, coordinating meetings, and preparing rooms for visitors or events.
Office Supplies & Workplace Support
- Monitor inventory and order office, kitchen, and reception supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Maintain organized supply areas and distribute supplies to departments as needed.
- Coordinate with approved vendors regarding routine deliveries, service requests, and supply orders.
- Help keep conference rooms, kitchens, and shared spaces stocked, organized, and presentation-ready.
- Submit facilities or maintenance requests and follow up on routine workplace needs.
Team & Company Support
- Provide administrative support for employee meetings, company events, and other office activities.
- Partner with People & Culture, Facilities, and other departments to support a positive employee and visitor experience.
- Maintain discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Perform additional administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of receptionist, front desk, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or administrative training preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Professional, friendly demeanor with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Teams; experience with office phone and visitor management systems preferred.
- Ability to maintain reliability, punctuality, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Spanish-speaking skills preferred.

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $21 - $28 Full-Time Hourly Salary
