Job Description Summary:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs, will lead the design and execution of strategic communications and corporate engagement initiatives for the BMS based out of Hyderabad, supporting the organization’s reputation, employee engagement, and stakeholder relations. This role is pivotal in shaping the company’s internal and external narrative, ensuring alignment with global standards and local priorities, and fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration across a large, diverse employee base.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

• Design and execute internal communications initiatives to foster a unified, transparent, and collaborative culture aligned with BMS values and goals.

• Support leadership communications by developing clear, timely, and aligned messaging for senior leaders across key internal forums, town halls, employee updates, and organizational announcements.

• Drive employee engagement initiatives in partnership with business leaders and the culture and engagement team, promoting a sense of purpose and pride among the team.

• Develop compelling content and campaigns that keep employees informed, motivated, and connected to BMS's mission in science and innovation.

• Serve as a trusted advisor on internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging and promoting open dialogue within the organization.

External Communications & Corporate Engagement:

• Lead the development and delivery of external communication strategies to enhance BMS Hyderabad’s visibility and reputation among key stakeholders, including government, industry associations, and the broader healthcare community.

• Position BMS as a leader in science and healthcare innovation through thought leadership opportunities, such as public speaking, media engagement, and participation in industry forums.

• Shape and manage brand messaging across all external channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with BMS’s global standards.

• Build and nurture relationships with key external audiences to advocate for BMS’s interests and highlight the organization’s impact and capabilities in advancing healthcare.

This role reports directly to the Head of Corporate Affairs, India, and plays a vital part in advancing both internal culture and external visibility to firmly establish BMS Hyderabad as a leader in science and innovation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in corporate affairs, communications, or related roles, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences sector.

• Demonstrated experience designing and executing communications strategies for organizations with a large and diverse employee base

• Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and crisis communications skills.
• Experience working with senior executives and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional Indian languages is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
