Senior Information Security Analyst

Location: Edinburgh (We believe in the power of in-person collaboration, and our hybrid model requires colleagues to be in the office a minimum of 40% of their time) 

Salary: A competitive salary from £36,400 - £54,600 depending on the experience you can bring

We are currently hiring for Senior Information Security Analyst to join our team in Edinburgh.

This is a client facing role, assisting Aegon UK’s customers regarding all things Information Security. In this role, you will undertake a wide range of activities that cover analysing and assessing the adequacy of information security controls, initiating improvements, provision of advice, supporting business enquiries, collating and analysing results for business returns and reporting.

Key responsibilities: 

• Assisting the Client Information Security Manager developing and maintaining a client information security assurance framework. 
• Assisting with the completion of responses to client security due diligence requests. 
• Responding to ad hoc enquiries from workplace and institutional clients. 
• Responding to business requests relating to Information Security. 
• Supporting with security risk assessments. 
• Assisting with development of Information Security procedures and processes. 
• Maintaining understanding of the technology/control environment to ensure any changes to technology don’t impact security
• Support the undertaking of any audits, reviews and workshops in relation to any aspect of information security 
• Assisting with assessing information security policy exceptions. 
• Developing and maintaining documentation. 
• Providing consultancy, advice, guidance and awareness training to all areas within Aegon UK. 

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Proven experience in a security analyst or similar role.
• Knowledge of Information Security domains including policy, principles and techniques, and information security standards. 
• Knowledge of security controls and security tools. 
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to Information Security (Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act, SOX, FSA regulations). 
• Experience of risk assessment in a business environment, understanding and determining business impact, determining risk from vulnerability, recommending appropriate and cost-effective controls. 
• Client and supplier/third-party information security experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• An analytical mindset with great attention to detail.

It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:

• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, Sox, PCI-DSS, FSA regulations).
• A relevant degree or qualification is desirable (e.g. CISSP, CEH, GIAC).

• We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
