Summary
Join our agile software development team as a Senior Frontend Developer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-traffic, customer-facing web experiences using technologies such as JavaScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and Sitecore CMS. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance architecture and design, participate in code reviews and Scrum ceremonies, and drive initiatives for scalability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web solutions using Node.js, Next.js, React, and Sitecore CMS.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative software delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members on architecture and technical design decisions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Write unit tests and ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of code.
- Lead engineering initiatives when called upon.
- Maintain, enhance, and document existing systems and applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide after-hours support when required.
- Contribute to the development of scalable, high-performing customer-facing web applications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related analytical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting customer-facing e-commerce websites and APIs.
- 5+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- 3+ years of experience developing websites using modern frontend JavaScript frameworks.
- 2+ years of experience with React.js.
- 2+ years of experience developing websites or applications running on Node.js.
- 1+ years of experience working with Agile software development methodologies and Scrum.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting customer-facing e-commerce websites and APIs.
- Experience with Git-based source control and Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Next.js.
- Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience building highly scalable systems and performing application performance tuning.
- Experience with analytics, feature flagging, and experimentation platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, and Adobe Analytics.
- Experience developing websites that meet WCAG/ADA accessibility standards.
