Key Responsibilities

• Design & Documentation

  • Develop and review electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and schedules for power, lighting, emergency, grounding, and low-voltage systems.

  • Ensure design deliverables meet international standards and project specifications.

  • Oversee BIM modelling and documentation tasks, supporting accurate and coordinated outputs in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.

• Coordination

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, architectural, BIM) across different offices and time zones.

  • Participate in design coordination meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with global counterparts.

  • Support Principal Engineers in client and consultant coordination by providing technical inputs.

• Mentorship & Support

  • Provide guidance and review support for junior engineers and BIM modellers.

  • Share knowledge of design standards, best practices, and international codes within the team.

  • Assist in implementing QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Contribution to Innovation

  • Promote sustainable design practices and adoption of smart building technologies where applicable.

  • Suggest improvements to workflows, tools, and processes for efficiency and quality.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.

• Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in electrical building services design.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle design packages independently within consultancy or engineering projects.

  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary and international teams.

• Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD; capable of supporting and reviewing BIM outputs.

  • Strong understanding of electrical system design principles (power, lighting, emergency, grounding, low-voltage).

  • Familiarity with ETAP, Dialux, or similar electrical design software.

  • Knowledge of international standards and codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, NEC, etc.).

• Soft Skills

  • Good leadership potential with mentoring experience.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

• Desirable but not required

  • Prior experience in international projects or exposure to global design standards.

  • Knowledge of green building certification systems (LEED, BREEAM, Green Mark).

  • Willingness to develop toward a Principal/Lead Engineer track.
