Job Summary
The Senior Director, Strategic Planning & IBP architecturally owns, designs, and governs GAF's end-to-end strategic planning engine and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer , this role builds the operational bridge between multi-year Enterprise Strategy (5 year horizon), Strategic Planning, IBP (24 month rolling execution horizon), and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

This leader establishes the enterprise annual strategy cycle—moving GAF from ad-hoc planning to a structured calendar that incorporates market intelligence, Business Unit (BU) / Category strategy development, Functional strategy alignment, and continuous IBP management processes.

Essential Duties

• Strategic Planning Architecture & Management: Lead and govern the annual Enterprise Strategy Cycle. Oversee key milestones including Strategy Deployment/Reset, External Scan/Market Intelligence, Enterprise Strategy Updates, Strategic Programming, and Final Strategy Compilation/Commitment.
• IBP Framework Integration: Drive the design, deployment, and ongoing governance of the Integrated Planning model. Connect multi-year strategic ambitions down to monthly and rolling IBP execution processes.
• Enterprise Planning Cycle Alignment: Integrate BU + Product Category Strategies and Functional Strategies (linking execution, organization, and capability needs back to BU plans) into a unified strategic plan.
• AOP & Financial Process Integration: Coordinate directly with Finance and Executive Leadership to ensure strategic programming feeds directly into the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Draft Capital Plans, 5-Year Cash Flow projections, and Springboard processes.
• Connecting Enterprise Transformations: Serve as the strategic "TO Connector" across in-flight GR8 imperatives, annual cycle/process, and core tools (SAP, Salesforce, Master Data Management) to eliminate functional silos and disconnects.
• Strategy Deployment & Goal Cascade: Partner with HR, Talent, and Internal Communications to ensure validated strategies cascade seamlessly into annual goal setting, performance reviews, compensation models, town halls, and leadership messaging.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree Strategic Management, Finance, Business Administration, or Supply Chain required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate strategy, Integrated Business Planning (IBP/S&OP), or enterprise transformation within complex manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Framework Mastery: Deep expertise in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Strategic Planning methodologies.
• End-to-End Enterprise Acumen: Proven capability to connect market intelligence, product category management, BU go-to-market strategies, and functional capabilities with core P&L and balance sheet outcomes.
• Matrix Leadership & Governance: Exceptional capability to lead cross-functional executive alignment across Strategy, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain teams without direct line authority.
• Structured Process Design: Ability to turn ambiguous, fragmented processes into standardized, calendar-driven planning cadences.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $200,000-$275,000
