Position Title:  Senior Coordinator, Human Resources

Office Location:  Toronto

Hybrid Model:  3 days per week in office

Position Overview 

Choice Properties is looking for a Senior Human Resource (HR) Coordinator to join our team for an 18-month contract! The Senior Human Resources Coordinator will support the Human Resources team by coordinating and following through on various Human Resources activities and projects including Company-wide Human Resources programs/initiatives.

Responsibilities: 

• Front line representative for colleague’s questions or concerns. 
• Coordinate and support key annual HR processes including Performance and Compensation and Engagement Survey. 
• Responsible for the effective application of HRIS (Workday) ensuring accurate data management and promoting ongoing best practices in leveraging tool.  
• Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support a smooth end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process. 
• Provide guidance, direction and advice to the client regarding employment related issues including but not limited to the interpretation of company policies & procedures, recruitment, training & development and benefits administration. 
• Support the rollout and adoption of HR programs, initiatives, and HR technology. 
• Lead the generation of people metrics, including headcount, turnover, and other key workforce metrics to drive data-informed HR strategies. 
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support internal compliance audits, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date. 
• Resolve sensitive colleague issues. Research answers and make inquiries of HR related issues, escalate to HRBP’s where required. 
• Responsible for program logistics support and event management, including coordination of training sessions or meetings, room set-up and materials required. 
• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and provincial requirements. 
• Coordinate leave of absence and accommodation requests in partnership with appropriate internal teams. 
• Resolve necessary payroll inquiries as required.  
• Assist the team with research, analysis and implementation of programs, reports and projects as required. 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources and obtained (or working towards) HR Management Certification.  
• 3 – 5 years progressive HR experience, coordinating departmental programs and initiatives is a definite asset. 
• Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. 
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization. 
• Strong integrity with demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information. 
• Solid program skills required in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).  
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and problem solving skills. 
• Customer focused and able to nurture positive customer relationships. 
• Highly organized and has a high degree of attention to detail. 
• Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem-solve. 
• Exceptional commitment to customer service with strong sense of urgency. 
• Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction.
