The Role:

Moonbug is looking for a data-driven and creative Senior Channel Manager with extensive expertise in leading high-performing digital content teams and scaling kids & family YouTube channels. Proven track record of translating popular IP and franchise strategies into high-impact, cross-channel execution plans that safely drive young audience growth and maximize engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead your team’s daily operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely execution.
• Manage workloads, approve holidays, and conduct performance reviews and regular feedback sessions.
• Translate brand and franchise strategy into large-scale cross-channel execution plans.
• Identify and execute growth opportunities using data, platform insights, and a strong understanding of YouTube.
• Demonstrate senior-level expertise in YouTube and channel management, setting best practice and raising standards across the team.
• Align with external teams, including marketing, to support campaign launches, cross-promotion, and wider brand initiatives.
• Influence content direction through performance data, audience insight, platform knowledge, and strong creative judgement.
• Report on channel performance, KPIs, audience growth, testing outcomes, and strategic insights to leadership, providing clear recommendations and actions.
• Bring a sharp, creative eye and a highly data-driven mindset to content planning and strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with senior team members to ensure alignment across channels, franchises, and departments.
• Develop junior team members through coaching, feedback, knowledge-sharing, and opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements

• Experience in YouTube channel management
• YouTube Certified with a deep and current knowledge of the YouTube platform.
• Knowledge of YouTube Content ID a major plus
• Experience working with animation / children’s content is preferred but not essential
• Proficiency using Photoshop
• Proficiency in video editing using Premiere and/or Final Cut
• Additional languages are a major asset but not essential
