Role: Senior Accountant
Monthly Rate: $1250 - $2150/month
Availability: Full-time - 40 hours/week

Requirements
Experience Needed:
Core Accounting Responsibilities (50%)
You'll be deeply involved in the complete accounting cycle, including:
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable review, supervision, and support, including:
- Coding, timing, allocation, and classification decisions
- Instructing the outsource team on issuance and adjustment needs
- AR collections (maybe 15 active cases a year)
- Bank and account reconciliations (ability to review work of others for quality and accuracy)
- Month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation and issuance of financial statements
- General ledger maintenance and journal entries
You’ll be heavily involved (alongside the Director of Finance & Operations) with significant projects, including:
- Development and implementation of new accounting processes as we launch additional programs and products
- Support for budget development, maintenance and reporting
Human Resources, Administrative & Clerical Support (50%)
You'll provide essential operational support across:
- Membership administration and coordination
- General administrative functions related to finance and operations
- Clerical work supporting organizational programs and initiatives
- Supporting team members and contractor onboarding, offboarding, and questions
- Administrative support to the Director of Finance & Operations
Good to have:
- Technical curiosity.
- Deadline management.
- Sense of humor.
Non-negotiable Requirements:
- 5 years of diverse GAAP accounting experience: AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, reporting, process development; comfortable both doing the work and reviewing the work of others.
- Produces work that has high degrees of accuracy and timeliness.
- Critical thinking. The ability to balance the desire to be independent and to learn with the understanding that spinning your wheels for hours is not a good plan.

- Sage Intacct
- Bill.com
- Ramp
- Google Workspace + Microsoft Excel
- An ever evolving list of vendor portals for invoice submission and collection
