Through our Care at Home division, we are expanding digitally enabled and home-based services that improve access, support better patient outcomes and bring high-quality care closer to where people live.
 

As our Care at Home services continue to grow across Queensland, we are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to join us as Queensland State Manager – Care at Home and lead the next phase of growth and service development across the state.
 

The Opportunity

Reporting to the National Director, Operations, you will lead a growing portfolio of in-home and virtual healthcare services, including Hospital in the Home, rehabilitation, palliative care, chronic care and other hospital-substitution models.
 

Working closely with clinical, operational and executive leaders, you will oversee service delivery, performance and growth, ensuring care remains safe, high quality, financially sustainable and centred on patient needs.
 

You will also play a key role in connecting Care at Home services with the broader healthcare system, building strong partnerships with hospitals, clinicians, private health insurers, government and other funding partners.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the delivery, growth and optimisation of Care at Home services across Queensland

• Provide operational leadership across multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams

• Develop and implement strategies that support sustainable growth, quality and performance

• Partner across Clinical, Product and Growth teams to design and scale home-based and virtual care models

• Ensure services integrate effectively with hospital pathways, operating models and funding arrangements

• Oversee workforce planning, service delivery, resource allocation and operational performance

• Monitor clinical, financial, quality and patient outcomes to drive continuous improvement

• Maintain strong clinical governance, risk, compliance and accreditation standards

• Build effective partnerships with hospitals, clinicians, insurers, government and other key stakeholders

• Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering a collaborative, accountable and innovative culture
   

About You

You are an experienced healthcare leader who combines strong operational capability with a genuine interest in healthcare transformation and improving the way care is delivered.
 

You understand the complexities of delivering clinical services within, or closely alongside, hospital environments and are comfortable working across multiple funding arrangements, stakeholder groups and models of care.
 

You are equally comfortable leading day-to-day operations and supporting service growth. You can establish new ways of working, solve operational challenges and translate strategy into practical outcomes as services continue to develop.
 

You will bring commercial awareness, sound judgement and a strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Experience & Capability

• Senior leadership experience across healthcare operations and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong operational, financial and performance management capability

• Experience across acute care, hospital substitution, community health, rehabilitation, virtual care or home-based healthcare

• Demonstrated success establishing, growing or improving healthcare services

• Strong understanding of healthcare funding, patient pathways, clinical governance, quality, risk and accreditation

• Proven ability to build high-performing teams and effective partnerships with hospitals, clinicians, funders and government

• Experience delivering service improvement, innovation and healthcare transformation

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills

• Ability to translate strategy into measurable operational outcomes

Desirable

• Experience in Hospital in the Home, rehabilitation, oncology, palliative care, cardiac services or related clinical services

• Exposure to both public and private healthcare environments

• Knowledge of private health insurance and state-based healthcare funding models

• Experience with virtual care, remote monitoring or other digitally enabled models of care

• Experience working across multidisciplinary allied health services

• Postgraduate qualifications in Health Management, Business Administration or a related discipline

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Allied Health or another relevant clinical discipline are required
