Vital Voices Global Partnership is a leading international non-profit organization that invests in women leaders tackling the world’s greatest challenges. Vital Voices has directly invested in more than 47,000 change-makers across 188 countries, who in turn have improved the lives of millions of people in their communities and countries. As part of those core mission, Vital Voices has supported the Mothers’ Call, a women-led movement uniting Israeli and Palestinian civil society voices in a shared demand: that women and communities have a seat at the table in any credible peace process for the region. Led by the movements Women of the Sun and Women Wage Peace and supported by Vital Voices, the initiative enters Phase 2 (2026–2028) with the goal of turning global visibility into political power through three pillars: Visibility, Advocacy, and Policy. 

Summary 

The Project Manager reports to the Project Strategic Lead and owns the day-to-day operation of The Mothers’ Call. They serve as the operational hub across the Vital Voices team, movement co-leads, contracted vendors, and coalition partners, ensuring that deliverables move on schedule and that all movement materials are consistent across English, Arabic, and Hebrew. The Project Team is co-located in the United States, Europe and the West Asian region, and the position will be based in Washington, DC, with regular international travel.  We are not accepting remote candidates. 

Role Specifications:

  • Project Management: Own the Phase 2 workplan; track deliverables, milestones, and dependencies across the Visibility, Advocacy, and Policy pillars; run internal team rhythms including agendas, notes, and action tracking for the Vital Voices team and movement co-leads; 
  • Materials and Communications Coordination: Coordinate production of movement outputs, including advocacy materials, policy documents, talking points, donor reports, and web and social content; manage translation and review workflows; maintain consistency of materials across English, Arabic, and Hebrew; 
  • Vendor and Partner Coordination: Manage day-to-day coordination with contracted vendors, including deliverable review and milestone reporting; serve as operational point of contact for coalition partners and new network member organizations; 
  • Leadership Support: Support the movement co-leads with scheduling, briefing materials, meeting preparation, and follow-up across diplomatic, media, and network engagements; 
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Maintain the initiative’s monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning (MERL) indicator tracking system; compile quarterly progress and donor reports; flag risks and timeline slippage to supervisors; 
  • Event Operations: Support planning and execution of anchor events, including the Barefoot Walk, the Regional Network Summit, and policy launch events, in coordination with the events lead and vendor teams; 
  • Other duties as assigned.   

Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, communications, or a related field preferred, plus 5 years of relevant work experience required, or graduate degree in international relations or a related field, plus 3 years of work experience required; 
  • Strong operational and event management background, and/or commensurate experience in complex operational contexts; 
  • Strong demonstrated experience in project management within international development, peacebuilding, human rights, or global women’s issues; 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English; 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and/or Hebrew, preferred; 
  • Experience working in the Middle East; 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, swiftly shift priorities, and work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team; 
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (esp. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), social networking tools, and project management software; 
  • Experience managing multi-workstream projects involving external vendors and consultants; 
  • Experience working cross-functionally to support key objectives and to help team members. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Professional proficiency in all three of English, Arabic, and Hebrew; 
  • Familiarity with the Women, Peace and Security agenda and UN Security Council Resolution 1325; 
  • Experience supporting coalition or network-based initiatives across multiple countries; 
  • Experience managing editorial or translation workflows for multilingual publications and campaigns. 

This position is a full-time, exempt, position based in Washington, DC. Domestic and international travel up to 30% may be required for the position, including travel to the Middle East and Europe for movement events and convenings. 

The anticipated starting salary for this role is $107,500, with flexibility up to $119,400 for candidates who bring additional experience, skills or qualifications beyond the core requirements of the position.
