Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.

Those in deal integration and valuation realisation at PwC will focus on assisting clients in successfully integrating acquisitions and maximising the value of their investments. You will be responsible for conducting valuations, financial analysis, and developing strategies for post-merger integration.

A career within Delivering Deal Value (DDV) will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction – pre- and post-close – including pre-deal and functional due diligence, enterprise-wide integrations, and complex divestitures, carve-outs and separations. Our work spans across a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas, within diverse sectors and industries.

As a DDV Senior Manager, you will join a dynamic team of problem solvers dedicated to helping clients navigate complex business challenges — from strategy through execution. You will play a central role in driving value across the full deal lifecycle, partnering with other competencies with PwC’s Deals line of business in order to serve clients in delivering measurable results in high-stakes transactions.

The Opportunity:

As a Senior Manager within People in Deals, you will help clients navigate the people and organizational complexities associated with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs and business transformations.

You will work closely with executive leadership teams to design and implement workforce, organization and HR function strategies that support successful integrations and separations while enabling business continuity, employee engagement and long-term value creation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

What You’ll Bring: 

• Experience advising senior leadership teams on the people implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, integrations, separations, and business transformations.
• Experience leading HR due diligence, HR integration, separation, and workforce transition initiatives across complex transactions.
• Experience developing talent retention strategies, leadership continuity plans, employee communications, and change management programs.
• Extensive ability to build and manage strategic client relationships while delivering high-quality outcomes across multiple engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams on people, workforce, and organizational matters.
• Experience managing quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess workforce-related risks, opportunities, synergies, and value creation initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead business development activities, including client relationship building, proposal development, and pursuit support.
• Demonstrated success leading teams through complex engagements and managing the full project lifecycle across multiple concurrent projects.
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard.
• The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
