The Paralegal 2 performs a variety of law-related tasks such as legal research, drafting legal documents and other related duties. The Paralegal 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.The Paralegal 2 supports the Pharmacy and PBM Legal Sub-team in managing the team's growing volume of commercial contract work. The Paralegal 2 understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Effective interpersonal, teaming and communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (emphasis in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Adobe Professional and Lexis/Nexis
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Proven organizational skills, as well as flexibility, and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities within designated time frames and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate legal or compliance department, or law firm, with exposure to PBM, pharmacy, or healthcare-related commercial contracts
- With supervision from assigned attorneys, has reviewed and analyzed a broad range of commercial agreements, amendments, non-disclosure agreements, and related documents
- Familiarity with pharmacy laws, the pharmaceutical supply chain, or pharmacy benefit management operations
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
