Job Role: Digital Marketing Specialist

Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: The client is seeking a driven and strategic Digital Marketing Specialist with strong expertise in content creation. In this role, you will focus on end-to-end content creation, including whitepapers, articles, media releases, and video production. Operating as the visual and execution lead, you will take raw text, strategic direction, and instructions from leadership to design, format, and deploy engaging visual content across multiple digital and print channels. This role also blends SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategy, advanced HubSpot management, and end-to-end graphic design with data analytics and client advisory. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist in strategy and execution for both traditional SEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to maximize visibility across standard search engines and AI-driven platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude).
• Produce visual assets—including webpages, brochures, whitepapers, and marketing materials—utilizing Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express, and Canva.
• Format, layout, and polish complex documents, such as tender documents and formal reports, ensuring consistent branding, typography, and professional presentation.
• Be able to use HubSpot to a high level: setup tracking, email nurtures, dashboards.
• Manage, track and report on performance using platforms such as Google Analytics, GA4, Looker Studio, and native ad platforms.
• Build intuitive and actionable dashboards to monitor campaign success and surface insights.
• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and performance audits to identify opportunities and inform optimisations.
• Develop client-ready reports, campaign dashboards for reporting and present campaign results, insights and strategic recommendations.
• Foster strong, collaborative relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on digital strategy.
• Stay across the latest trends and innovations across SEO, paid media and digital marketing best practice.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align campaigns with overall marketing strategies and business objectives.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2–4+ years experience in a similar digital marketing role (agency or in-house).

• Proven success in both SEO and Paid Media campaign strategy and execution.
• Proven graphic design skills using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Express and Canva (or similar)  designing webpages, brochures, whitepapers, formatting tender docs and reports. 
• Video editing experience using Riverside FM, CapCut, or Premier Pro is valuable but not essential if graphic design skills are strong.
• Proven ability to create high quality design assets including social tiles and technical diagrams. 
• HubSpot setup and management
• Analytical mindset with strong experience creating dashboards and pulling actionable insights from data.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects with exceptional attention to detail.
• Good English language skills Critical thinking and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision are important qualities.
• A collaborative and proactive team player with a positive attitude and thirst for knowledge and a strong attitude with maturity are priorities for the role.
• Strong organisational and time management skills — able to juggle multiple deadlines.
