We are looking for an Operational Risk Assistant Manager to join our team in Mexico City. This role is critical to strengthening our operational risk framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a strong risk culture across the organization. You will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational risks, while partnering with multiple stakeholders locally and across international teams (US & Brazil).

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and enhancement of operational risk frameworks aligned with global standards

• Identify, assess, and monitor operational risk exposures across business areas

• Ensure effectiveness of internal controls and follow up on remediation actions

• Prepare and present risk reports and committee materials (internal and regulatory)

• Analyze corporate policies and local regulations to define risk management guidelines

• Manage and support initiatives related to fraud risk and third-party risk management (TPRM)

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to integrate risk practices into daily operations

• Escalate key risks and issues appropriately and provide recommendations

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in Operational Risk (1st or 2nd line of defense)

• Background in Administration, Accounting or related fields

• Experience in regulatory compliance or risk frameworks implementation

• Advanced level of English (required)

Skills & Competencies

Required:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Ability to synthesize complex information

• Understanding of Mexican regulatory environment

• Solid Excel skills (reporting & data analysis)

• Structured, organized, and detail-oriented

• Assertive communication and stakeholder management

Nice to have:

• Experience in Fraud Risk or Third-Party Risk Management

• PowerPoint skills for executive presentations
