Your New Role:
The SAP Infrastructure & Cloud Architect is the role responsible for managing the cloud architecture in SAP environment. This role is responsible for the overall cloud infrastructure build, design, deployment and support in SAP environment. In addition, the role is responsible for providing the architectural support and guidance in Basis Infrastructure space and various SAP upgrade and enhancements projects. This position will also provide infrastructure thought leadership for SAP infrastructure integration between SAP cloud Platform, SAP Analytics Cloud, on-premise systems and AWS cloud. In addition, this role will provide project management support and direct oversight of the Service Provider and/or Project Team Members to ensure integrity of the implemented design and architecture. As an integral member of the SAP Basis team, the SAP Cloud Platform Architect will provide administration support to all SAP and peripheral systems and participate in 24/7 production support with very minimal supervision.

Your Responsibilty:

• Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring and performance tuning and troubleshooting of:
  • SAP S/4, SAP MDG, SAP BRIM, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP SRM, SAP SCM, APO/Live Cache, SAP GRC, SAP IQ, SAP CRM, SAP LVM, MDM, Catalog, EP and Solution Manager
  • Peripheral systems such as OpenText, PGP encryption
  • Interfaces such as printers, emails servers, Go Anyware/file drops
• Leading Proof of Concept and guiding team on new technologies
• Providing architecture improvement guidance and execution support in AWS cloud
• Maintaining and managing SAP Portal System.
• System copies and landscape synchronization.
• Manage backups and restores, disaster recovery, high availability of systems.
• Manage and satisfy SOX and other audit controls.
• Security experience with ABAP and Java stack.
• Effectively interface and collaborate with other infrastructure teams: server, storage and networking.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Stay abreast of SAP roadmaps, development and OSS notes to help improve current platform.

Qualifications & Experiences:

• 10 years deep SAP Basis Administration experience.
• 5+ years of experience working in a NetWeaver 7.0 or higher environment
• 3+ years of experience in S/4HANA, BRIM and BW/4HANA environment
• 2+ years of experience supporting SAP in Cloud environment
• Minimum of five complete life-cycle implementations.
• Experience with multiple SAP components: as many as possible from the list above.
• Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA , SAP SCM, APO/Live Cache, SAP GRC, SAP IQ, SAP SRM, Portal, BTP, Fiori Launchpad, SAP CRM
• Experience with Enhancement Packages, ABAP and Java stack administration including system copies.
• Experience supporting SAP in AWS cloud environment
• Advanced level knowledge in managing SAP with HANA and/or DB2 databases with back up, High Availability and DR solution
• Intermediate knowledge with SAP cloud platform (SCP) Integration, Cloud Connector, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Experience with HANA, DB2 and Unix administration concepts as necessary for Basis work, including scripting in AWS Cloud and On Premise environment
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills both written and verbal to include translating complex technical issues clearly and precisely to both technical and non-technical parties
• Familiar with ODATA services and Fiori based Application Deployment.
• Strong analytical and technical communication skills.
• Understanding of SAP applications and its functionalities is an added advantage.

Preferred: 

• Familiarity with SOX and ITIL
• SAP certification
• Experience with AWS
