Are you a detail-oriented legal professional with an interest in AML and business-focused legal support? Join Pluxee Bulgaria as a Junior Legal Counsel – AML and Legal Support and become part of a team that helps shape a strong compliance culture while supporting the company’s day-to-day legal and regulatory activities.

As Junior Legal Counsel, you will support the Legal, Compliance and Public Affairs team in matters related to AML/KYC/KYB, regulatory compliance, contract review and internal legal processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, group-level teams and external authorities, contributing to clear, compliant and business-oriented solutions.

What you will do

• Support KYB/KYC and AML processes for onboarding and ongoing review of clients, merchants, partners and other counterparties.
• Review customer profiles, documentation, ownership structures, beneficial owners and other relevant information as part of due diligence processes.
• Contribute to transaction and operations monitoring from an AML, fraud and compliance risk perspective, escalating unusual or suspicious activities where needed.
• Support the preparation of regulatory filings, audits, inspections, internal and external reports related to AML, payment services and e-money requirements.
• Assist in developing and updating risk assessments, AML rules, policies and procedures in line with applicable legislation and group requirements.
• Communicate with competent authorities, including SANS and the Bulgarian National Bank, within the scope of assigned tasks.
• Draft, review and coordinate contracts and legal documents with clients, merchants, suppliers and partners.
• Provide practical legal support to internal teams on contractual, commercial, regulatory, consumer, compliance and other legal matters.
• Support employee trainings and awareness sessions related to AML and fraud prevention.

You are a match if you have

• Master’s degree in Law and acquired legal capacity.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in legal support, contract law, regulatory compliance, AML/KYC/KYB or a similar function.
• Good knowledge of Bulgarian and EU AML/CTF requirements and the ability to apply them in business, contractual and internal processes.
• Experience or strong interest in financial services, payment services, fintech, banking or another regulated environment.
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent Bulgarian and good working command of English.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and the ability to prioritise effectively.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and confidence to take ownership of new challenges.
