What Will You Be Doing:

• Administer Jira Atlassian Data Center/on-premise, cloud or other selected platform environments. 

• Configure Jira projects, issue types, fields, screens, schemes, dashboards, filters, access, and notifications. 

• Design and maintain workflows, approvals, conditions, validators, post-functions, and automation rules based on documented processes. 

• Support identity and access permissions by managing users, groups, roles, permissions, restrictions, and project-level access. 

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Marketplace plugins and integrations. 

• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, resolve configuration and performance issues, and maintain technical documentation. 

• Support data migration, import/export, validation, consolidation, and platform modernization activities. 

• Define migration test plans, reconciliation criteria, rollback/contingency approach, and evidence-based sign-off for data, permissions, workflows, automation and integrations. 

• Work with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into secure, scalable and integrated solutions. 

• Contribute to general IT support activities and help ensure reliable day-to-day support for users and business operations. 

You Are a Good Match If You Have

• Hands-on experience in advanced Jira administration, ideally across Data Center/on-premise, cloud or other target platform environments. 

• Participation in platform migration, consolidation or modernization initiatives 

• Knowledge of Jira configuration, workflow design, permissions, automation, and API integrations. 

• Experience with system maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations, and data validation. 

• Understanding REST APIs, integrations, authentication, SSO, LDAP, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID. 

• Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple requests. 
• Linux OS system administration knowledge 

Nice to have:

• Jira Service Management experience 

• Experience with ScriptRunner or similar administration and automation tools. 

• Atlassian certification and basic scripting skills in PowerShell 

• Completion of Atlassian learning paths or credentials related to Jira administration, platform modernization, migration readiness and cloud administration. 

• Experience working with an Atlassian Solution Partner, external vendor or migration support team on enterprise platform modernization or migration initiatives.
