The Analyst I IT Asset Management position is responsible for support and administration within the LexisNexis Risk Solutions IT Asset Management Team. This position maintains records and databases containing information regarding software licenses, warranties and service agreements for software. This position works closely with the LexisNexis Risk Solutions IT Asset Management Team and other local ITAM Analysts. Supporting the tracking of and compliance with supplier software licensing and entitlements is the primary focus of this position. The Analyst I IT Asset Management also identifies and suggests process improvements to drive efficient, effective ITAM operations relative to the documented ITAM processes to support business needs while ensuring LexisNexis Risk Solutions compliance risks are managed. The position interfaces daily with assigned LexisNexis Risk Solutions category managers to understand IT Asset Management strategies and licensing and drive results against ITAM metrics. Other activities will be needed upon request as the role grows. This position will be entering software entitlements as required.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The IT Asset Management function is responsible for identifying the correct processing of software purchase transactions through to payment and deployment, including responsibility for the reconciliation and accuracy of all software/hardware assets purchased and inventoried.
Service delivery:
- Assist with LexisNexis Risk Solutions IT Asset Management process(es) by assisting in maintaining records related to software licensing, ad-hoc research and reporting associated with software entitlements.
- Ensure all software purchase requests are documented as required and all completed entitlement related records are provided to the LexisNexis Risk Solutions ITAM team.
- Assist in financial aspects of ITAM team within LexisNexis Risk Solutions, including (but not limited to) purchase order processing, credit card reconciliation, coding to cost centers using respective financial systems. For clarity, this role will not require any purchasing knowledge or skills. The processing of pre-agreed renewals/quotes will be required but this would not require any previous knowledge and will be trained as needed. These tasks are admin tasks not a true purchaser task.
- Assisting in user email queries pertaining to ITAM activities within LexisNexis Risk Solutions
- Actively updating status changes/information within the ServiceNow system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree Holder.
- Experience in asset life-cycle management, process improvement and compliance.
- Working knowledge of the fundamental concepts and procedures used in a purchasing and asset management environment.
- Working knowledge of software licensing.
- Working knowledge of reconciling software licensing and software maintenance terms and conditions between procured rights and quantities with compliant deployment of software assets.
- Working knowledge of the procurement life cycle and best practices
- Experience with Software Asset Management tools, such as: ServiceNow, Fusion, etc.
- Strong problem-solving with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, tenacious with ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail.
Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
