The Opportunity:
As OES continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking an experienced Head of IT Delivery to lead our global technology delivery function and play a pivotal role in advancing our technology delivery capability. This is a key leadership position responsible for the successful delivery of enterprise technology platforms and initiatives, while fostering a culture centered on continuous delivery, scaled agile ways of working, platform excellence, and operational reliability. Leading teams across Australia, South Africa and the UK, you will work closely with executive and business leaders to ensure technology delivery supports strategic objectives, enhances customer outcomes, and drives organisational growth. Reporting to the Group Executive of IT, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery operating model across multiple platforms, programs, and agile delivery teams.

This opportunity is ideally suited to an accomplished technology leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and has a proven track record of leading large-scale delivery functions, driving transformation, and embedding modern delivery practices. You will be accountable for defining and executing delivery strategy, leading portfolio planning and governance, developing high-performing teams, and creating a delivery environment that is predictable, scalable, and aligned to business priorities. Success in this role will come from your ability to balance strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring technology investments are delivered efficiently and generate measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership across OES's technology delivery function, ensuring the successful delivery of platforms, products, and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Champion and mature scaled agile practices, including portfolio planning, PI planning, delivery governance, and cross-functional squad alignment
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, automation, DevSecOps, and continuous delivery to improve speed, quality, and reliability of technology outcomes.
• Lead delivery planning, prioritisation, capacity management, budgeting, and governance to ensure technology investments align with strategic business objectives.
• Oversee the delivery and ongoing evolution of critical enterprise platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support business growth.
• Build, mentor, and inspire leaders, delivery managers, and technology teams, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.

About you:

• We're looking for a strategic technology leader who combines strong delivery discipline with commercial acumen and people leadership.
• You will bring:
• Extensive senior leadership experience leading large-scale technology delivery functions.
• A proven track record delivering complex platform programs and enterprise technology portfolios.
• Deep experience operating within Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe), PI Planning and team-of-teams delivery models.
• Strong understanding of continuous delivery, DevSecOps and modern engineering practices.
• Experience managing technology budgets, vendor partnerships, and commercial outcomes.
• The ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive organisational change.
• Experience across enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, AWS, Microsoft technologies, and digital platforms.
• A passion for building high-performing teams and delivering technology that creates real business value.
