Flowserve is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Global Product Manager to take end-to-end business ownership of a flagship industrial valve portfolio. Acting as the general manager of your product line, you will define and execute the 5-year global product strategy, drive market expansion, optimize profitability, and lead international commercialization initiatives.
This role bridges commercial strategy, Voice of the Customer (VOC), and technical execution. You will partner with cross-functional global engineering, operations, and sales channels across the Power, Chemical, Energy, and General Industrial sectors to maximize portfolio growth, booking margins, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & P&L Leadership: Formulate, own, and execute the multi-year product roadmap, delivering on global bookings, revenue, and gross margin targets.
Portfolio & Lifecycle Management: Lead cradle-to-grave product lifecycle strategy, applying CORE 80/20 principles to streamline product variants, optimize high-margin lines, and manage phase-out/end-of-life transitions.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Commercialization: Design and launch comprehensive GTM strategies, evaluating competitive pricing dynamics, channel distribution effectiveness, and market share expansion opportunities.
Voice of Customer (VOC) & Innovation: Conduct global VOC research and competitive benchmarking to translate complex customer challenges into actionable product enhancements and next-generation roadmaps.
Global Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with global manufacturing facilities, operations, regional sales teams, and engineering leads to align production supply, quality, and delivery with market demand.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Build and leverage advanced Excel financial models and Power BI performance dashboards to track pipeline health, pricing variance, and portfolio KPIs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in product management, commercial strategy, product marketing, or technical sales within industrial valve or fluid flow control industries.
Technical Domain Depth: Direct commercial or technical familiarity with industrial valves (e.g., Ball Valves, Plug Valves, Butterfly Valves, or Quarter-Turn Isolation Valves).
Industry Focus: Proven track record supporting key process industries, including Power Generation, Petrochemical/Chemical, Oil & Gas/Energy, or Heavy Industrial processing.
Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong background in business case creation, margin optimization, product rationalization (80/20 methodology), and pricing strategy.
Data & Analytics: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data modeling, scenario analysis); hands-on ability to navigate and extract insights from Power BI dashboards.
Global Collaboration: Proven success influencing cross-functional matrixed teams across global business units, diverse cultural backgrounds, and multiple time zones.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, or related technical field.
