THE ROLE

As a Forward Deployed Engineer on the Systems Product Management team, you will build the intelligence layer behind Everpure's FlashArray and FlashBlade roadmap decisions. Our platforms generate an extraordinary volume of signal—fleet telemetry from tens of thousands of deployed systems alongside commercial, support, and cost data. Working directly with product managers across the portfolio, you will translate complex, cross-system questions into engineering solutions—leveraging applied AI and fleet-scale data engineering to build production systems that directly shape the hardware we ship.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own Engagements End-to-End: Partner directly with product managers to scope ambiguous business questions and carry them from discovery through to a solution running in production.

• Design and Build the Platform: Deliver end-to-end capabilities, spanning data and orchestration layers through to the interfaces product managers actively use.

• Build for Trust: Maintain high engineering standards so product managers can confidently stake critical roadmap decisions on system output.

• Turn One-Offs into Capability: Convert bespoke, hard-won analyses into durable platform capabilities that continuously expand self-service intelligence.

• Strengthen the Data Foundation: Identify gaps where existing data cannot answer strategic questions, partnering with data owners across the organization to close them.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Production Engineering Craft: Strong, hands-on Python experience designing, building, and operating software in production—including HTTP APIs, relational schema design and migrations, containerized cloud deployments, version control, CI/CD, testing discipline, and frontend capability to build usable interfaces.

• Data Judgment at Scale: Advanced SQL proficiency with large analytical datasets (e.g., Snowflake) and the business acumen to evaluate data integrity, understanding which strategic questions data can accurately answer.

• Applied AI Experience: Proven experience shipping LLM-backed or agentic systems to real users, combined with rigorous evaluation practices that maintain system integrity as it evolves.

• Communication and Influence: Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to define tractable engineering problems, exercise technical judgment, and communicate system readiness with credibility.

• Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
