Our Client
Our client is a Singapore-based multinational food and beverage company specializing in the production and distribution of instant beverages, particularly coffee mixes and non-dairy creamers. With a strong presence across Asia, Eastern Europe, and other emerging markets, the company focuses on delivering affordable, mass-market products while continuously optimizing cost efficiency and product formulations. Its operations are supported by manufacturing facilities, including in Malaysia, and it actively competes with Chinese producers by exploring innovations in ingredients and production processes to maintain competitiveness in pricing and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on current consumer market trends and emerging technologies to support the development of new food products.
- Establish and optimize production applications to ensure new products can be successfully transferred into manufacturing.
- Plan and conduct production trial runs, prepare trial reports and analysis, and carry out product evaluation and testing to assess product performance, quality, and feasibility.
- Ensure all product development activities comply with existing technical specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Conduct shelf-life studies for newly developed products to validate product stability and quality over time.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and certifications, including HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS, and Halal requirements.
- Act as the team lead in the absence of the R&D Assistant Manager, providing guidance and ensuring continuity of day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Bio-Process Engineering, or a related discipline in Food Research & Development.
- 3+ years of prior experience within a food manufacturing environment handling non-dairy creamers (NDC).
- Familiarity with food safety and quality management standards is preferred.
- Willing to be based and work in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang, Johor.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
