We are hiring two Entertainment Writers & Digital Journalists to form the core writing bench for a high-profile digital publication destination backing major global film and series releases. In this role, you will adapt syndicated content from international desks, craft transcreated stories with localized Mexican angles, and write original feature articles connecting premier streaming titles with local pop culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adapt, localize, and QA daily syndicated editorial assets against strict publication standards and localization pipelines.
- Write transcreated feature stories that infuse local Mexican cultural context, talent highlights, and regional angles into global properties.
- Produce original deep-dives, character explainers, series recaps, and breaking news under daily deadline pressures.
- Optimize all written content for SEO & GEO using clear heading hierarchies, concise answer blocks, keyword strategies, and entity relationships.
- Work natively within modern Content Management Systems (CMS) and team workflow platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional writing/journalism experience specializing in TV, film, streaming, or pop culture in Mexico.
- Bilingual Proficiency: Advanced English (ability to read press kits, screeners, and scripts in English) and native Spanish.
- Exceptional writing speed, editorial accuracy, and agility under daily publication deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with search engine optimization (SEO) techniques and AI search formatting.
