As an Engineer II within the RTR Engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting high-volume semiconductor manufacturing operations by driving equipment performance, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with Production, Process, Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability and operational excellence.

What will the candidate work on?

• Troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues to minimize downtime and improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Driving equipment reliability, preventive maintenance optimization, and continuous improvement activities.
• Supporting equipment qualification, validation, installation, and production ramp activities.
• Analyzing equipment performance data, yield, OEE, and downtime trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Leading cost reduction, productivity improvement, and equipment optimization projects.
• Ensuring manufacturing equipment meets safety, quality, and production requirements.
  

Scope of daily tasks, projects, challenges, and stakeholders

• Daily monitoring of equipment performance and manufacturing KPIs.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaboration with Production, Process Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Facilities, and external equipment suppliers.
• Managing engineering improvement projects to improve throughput, equipment uptime, and operational efficiency.
• Supporting equipment upgrades, technology transfers, and capacity expansion projects.
• Working in a dynamic environment where timely problem-solving and stakeholder management are critical to production success.

Profile

You are a hands-on semiconductor engineering professional with strong technical troubleshooting capabilities, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education & Experience

Must Have

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing equipment within a production environment.

Hard Skills

Must Have

• Equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Preventive maintenance and equipment reliability improvement.
• Data analysis and manufacturing KPI monitoring (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Yield).
• Equipment qualification, validation, and production support.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing operations.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Wire Bond, Die Attach, Mold, Plating, Test, Trim & Form, or Backend Assembly processes.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience with automation systems, robotics, or factory integration systems.
• Exposure to equipment buy-off and supplier management activities.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
