Electrician is required to install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems. Read technical diagrams and blueprints. Perform general electrical maintenance.What will you do
- Knowledge of electrical systems, sub-stations, generators, power factor correction, HVAC, LP and HP Compressors, boilers, sprinkler and hydrant fire systems, voltage stabilizers, UPS, general site electrical maintenance etc
- Install, clean, lubricate, adjust, maintain and repair electrical distribution equipment including transformers, switch gears, circuit breakers etc
- Inspect and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency
- Identify and rectify electrical faults on site equipment and systems
- Manage contractors, suppliers and OEM’s
- Execute preventative maintenance of equipment
- Follow safety procedure, protocols and regulations
- Adhere to and have knowledge of ACT 85 of 1993 when planning and executing tasks in utilities and across site
- Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Prepare reports and records of equipment status pre and post maintenance
- Stay up to date with latest industry trends, equipment and regulations in regard to electrical systems
- Be an effective problem solver in applying problem solving tools to achieve precise root causes and loop closures
- Good communicator and be able to operate within a multifunctional team
- Be familiar with safety procedures, legal regulations and guidelines

- Downtime is minimized (Plant Availability and Quality defects caused by poor equipment performance)
- Diagnostic and Problem-solving techniques Applied
- Administration, Job Cards, and relevant documentation completed
- Utilizations of Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Strategic maintenance plans are developed to Reduce Repeat Failures
- MECP Activities (Maintenance Prevention standards are completed and distributed)
- Optimized Machines and/or equipment
- Delegated and monitored work allocation
- Managed significant end-to-end projects as assigned
- Evaluate cost and waste management on specified equipment as assigned

Minimum Experience & Qualifications
- Qualification - Minimum N6/S4/N3-4 in Electrical Engineering
- Function – 5+- years’ experience in Maintenance (Electrical and Instrument)
- Industry – At least +- 2-year experience in FMGC industry
