e-commerce site offering a wide selection of popular brands.

While “Rakuten Ichiba” is a marketplace-style business that provides a platform for merchants to sell their own products, “Rakuten Fashion” is a direct-to-consumer business in which Rakuten itself selects and sources brands and products, and handles everything from marketing and sales to shipping and customer support under one roof.

The company continues to make large-scale investments such as those listed below, making it one of the Rakuten Group’s businesses expected to achieve the highest growth.

・Promoting the development of loyal customers through the rollout and enhancement of smartphone apps

・Driving new customer acquisition through ongoing mass marketing, such as TV commercials

・Strengthening the system platform to enhance service quality

As the penetration rate of e-commerce in the Japanese apparel market continues to grow, companies across the apparel industry are actively working to strengthen their e-commerce operations and have high expectations for the growth of Rakuten’s fashion e-commerce business.

This position is part of the consulting sales team that supports over 100 shops operated by Rakuten Fashion.

In line with our business expansion, we are seeking a business partner who can help these brands achieve not only post-launch sales targets but also the many other goals they have set for themselves.

Position Details 

You will provide consulting sales services to shops (FLAGSHIP STORES) that are listed on Rakuten Ichiba among the shops and brands available on Rakuten Fashion, with the goal of maximizing their sales.

Each consultant will be responsible for approximately 30 shops, handling everything from planning to executing sales growth strategies for their assigned shops.

・Share and set sales targets and sales strategies with shop owners

・Conduct market analysis

・Make proposals tailored to each store’s products and circumstances—such as advertising to drive traffic and campaigns during peak sales periods—to help achieve sales targets

・Analyze metrics such as the number of visitors to store pages and average order value, etc.

Your primary points of contact will be company representatives, decision-makers, and store managers.

You will work in collaboration with members from other groups within Rakuten Fashion to develop and present proposals.

Work Environment

We are currently a team of five members. As our business expands, we are looking to hire new staff.

Our team consists primarily of mid-career hires with a sales background and new graduates.

Mandatory Qualifications:

・Experience in sales or sales management in the distribution or retail industry

・Experience in e-commerce

Desired Qualifications: 

・Experience in B2B sales

・Experience in the fashion industry
