About the Role

We’re hiring a Direct-Response Video Editor for a fast-growing DTC brand to work remotely with their team.

The brand runs fast-paced direct-response ad campaigns, mainly on Meta and TikTok, and launches new products and collections often. You’ll edit short-form videos for both paid ads and organic content, mostly b-roll with text overlays and founder UGC (launch announcements and direct-to-camera informative videos). You’ll work closely with a small, friendly marketing team on time-sensitive campaigns where clear communication and quick turnaround matter.

Job Responsibilities

Day to Day

• Brainstorm ad and content ideas with the marketing team.
• Edit short-form videos for Meta and TikTok, for both paid ads and organic content.
• Deliver finished, clean videos with captions, on-screen text and royalty-free music.
• Build strong hooks, keep viewers watching, and highlight the CTA to drive conversions.
• Apply feedback from review rounds and re-submit without delays.
• Track ad performance data and use it to guide future edits.
• Follow brand guidelines and approved wording in all on-screen text and captions.

What We’re Looking For

• Someone who understands proper hooks, viewer retention and how to drive conversions with a clear CTA.
• Willingness to learn the brand’s community, including its mindset and needs. The audience is the community, and every ad is tailored to what they expect.
• Respect for brand compliance. For example, the brand talks about the resistance its tools offer, not magnet strength, and avoids restricted terms and wording that lacks empathy.
• Experience with founder-led or UGC-style content is a plus.

Requirements

• Proven experience editing direct-response or performance video ads.
• Full proficiency in professional editing software.
• Strong English: scripts, videos and all team communication are in English, so you need to catch any wording, spelling or grammar mistakes.
• Close attention to detail in short, fast-paced videos, even with multiple review rounds in place.
• Ability to work quickly and reliably on time-critical launches.
