The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to lead the execution and growth of advanced national-security technology programs supporting Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers.

Reporting to a Program/Portfolio Director, the Deputy Program Manager will be accountable for the cost, schedule, technical performance, financial results, and customer relationships associated with an assigned program or group of related projects. The portfolio includes research and development, product development, systems integration, production, fielding, sustainment, and mission support activities.

The successful candidate will be more than an administrative program manager. This leader will understand the customer’s mission, establish accountability across technical and business teams, maintain command of program financials, identify emerging risks early, and translate customer needs into executable and fundable work.

Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the program’s IRAD (Internal Research and Development) activities in coordination with Product Line Manager and Engineering Technical Lead, ensuring alignment with strategic and program roadmaps and objectives and timely execution of research priorities.
Manage end-to-end product delivery, including oversight of development, integration, production, and deployment phases to meet customer requirements and quality standards.
Lead sustainment operations, ensuring ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for delivered products and systems throughout their lifecycle.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among engineering, field support, operations, contracts, and finance personnel to achieve program goals.
Monitor and control program budgets, schedules, and risks, implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain performance and financial targets.
Engage regularly with customers and stakeholders, building trusted relationships and communicating program status, challenges, and achievements.
Support proposal development, contract growth strategies, and transition of technologies from IRAD and prototyping to production and sustainment.

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and is onsite in Jessup, MD.

Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility at the time of hire.
Ten or more years of relevant professional experience, including at least five years leading programs, projects, or major technical workstreams for Department of Defense or Intelligence Community customers.
Demonstrated responsibility for a multimillion-dollar program, contract or task order.
Experience managing program financial performance, including revenue, margin, forecasts, estimates at completion, staffing, funding, and variance analysis.
Experience managing technical development, systems integration, production, sustainment, or mission-support programs.
Working knowledge of federal acquisition and contracting environments, including experience with one or more contract types such as CPFF, FFP, T&M, IDIQ, or task-order contracts.
Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships with government customers and communicate effectively with senior customer and company leadership.
Experience leading cross-functional teams containing technical, operational, contractual, and financial personnel.
Ability to organize ambiguous or evolving customer requirements into structured plans, assigned responsibilities, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, written communication, and executive-briefing skills.
Demonstrated ability to identify deteriorating program conditions, develop corrective-action plans, and lead teams through recovery.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and program scheduling or collaboration tools.
Project Management Professional certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
