Role Summary

As part of the Customer Data Operations team, you'll support the maintenance and governance of core banking data that powers ING's financial markets and client operations. You'll act as a steward of high-quality data, helping ensure records are accurate, timely, complete, and fit for purpose.

You'll collaborate with global stakeholders across Front Office, Back Office, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to support operational excellence and deliver a seamless banking experience.

About the Team

Customer Data Operations is part of ING's Data Operations function within the COO domain. The team is responsible for maintaining critical data used throughout the trade lifecycle and Know Your Customer (KYC) lifecycle. We act as gatekeepers of data quality, supporting business operations through robust governance, controls, and system management

What You'll Do

• Support client onboarding, offboarding, and customer data maintenance across multiple platforms
• Configure and maintain settlement instructions for cash and securities transactions
• Set up and maintain traded instruments and product reference data
• Perform pricing maintenance, sanctions monitoring, and exception management activities
• Support reference data activities, including FX rates, market indices, calendars, and account configurations
• Maintain client agreements used in collateral and regulatory operations
• Contribute to data quality, governance, and process improvement initiatives
• Work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams

What We're Looking For

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• At least 1 year of experience within banking, financial services, or capital markets
• Basic understanding of financial markets and banking operations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Adaptability and willingness to work in an agile environment

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of trade lifecycle, client lifecycle, or data operations processes
• Exposure to securities, foreign exchange, money markets, derivatives, or collateral management
• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Calypso, Murex, Sophis, Summit, or OMGEO
• Knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, VBA, or similar automation tools
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• CISI certification
