The work:
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to build and optimize scalable data pipelines that support enterprise analytics, reporting, AI, and machine learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), modern data architectures, and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Ingest and transform data from APIs, databases, SaaS applications, and streaming platforms.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python, SQL, Apache Beam (Dataflow), Spark (Dataproc), and BigQuery.Deliver high-quality, curated datasets for analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
- Build ML-ready feature pipelines and support AI initiatives.Implement data quality, testing, monitoring, and governance standards.
- Optimize BigQuery performance, data models, and storage structures.Manage workflow orchestration using Cloud Composer (Airflow).
- Support Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD deployment processes.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders.
Here is what you need:
- 3+ years of Data Engineering experience Python, SQL, and data modeling expertise
- Hands-on experience with GCP services including: BigQuery, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Dataproc (Spark), Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage (GCS), Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Experience with ETL/ELT, batch and streaming data pipelines
- Knowledge of Terraform, CI/CD, and data quality best practices
Preferred experience:
- Vertex AI, Kafka, Dataplex, Datastream, dbt, or Looker
- Experience supporting ML/AI workloads
- Federal Government or regulated industry experience (FedRAMP, HIPAA, NIST)
- CISSP or CCSP certification
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:
$103,200—$196,400 USD
