Sobre este puesto de Social Media Manager en Datadog
Datadog is looking for a Social Media Manager to own the day-to-day execution of our social media presence and help advance our broader social strategy. This role sits at the intersection of social media, editorial strategy, and corporate communications, with responsibility for how Datadog plans, publishes, engages, and measures content across our social channels. You’ll partner across Communications and Marketing to translate company priorities into compelling, platform-appropriate social narratives. This is a role for someone who combines strong editorial judgment with an analytical mindset: you can write a scroll-stopping post, understand how and where it should show up, and explain what the results tell us.
At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the content calendar, publishing, and day-to-day management of Datadog’s social channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and X.
- Develop and execute social communication plans for product announcements, launches, global events, and other key company initiatives in partnership with communications, marketing, and cross-functional teams.
- Write and adapt social-first copy and messaging for different platforms, audiences, and company initiatives, partnering with creative teams on visual assets as needed.
- Monitor social channels and engage with relevant conversations, identifying cultural moments and routing mentions that require broader support to the appropriate internal teams.
- Analyze channel and content performance and translate results into actionable recommendations and reporting for executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Partner with the Senior Social Media Manager and Corporate Communications team to continually refine Datadog’s social strategy, editorial approach, processes, and audience engagement.
Who You Are:
- You have 4–6 years of experience directly managing brand or corporate social media channels, ideally within a corporate communications, marketing, or brand marketing function.
- You’re a strong social-first writer and editor who can develop clear, engaging copy for distinct audiences, platforms, and communications objectives.
- You have experience owning social content calendars and taking campaigns from planning through publishing, community engagement, measurement, and optimization.
- You understand how organic social media works alongside media relations, executive communications, paid opportunities, and broader integrated communications programs.
- You have experience using social media analytics and management platforms, such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite, and translating performance data into recommendations for senior audiences.
- You can manage multiple channels, campaigns, and stakeholders while applying strong editorial judgment in a fast-moving environment.
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
