POSITION OVERVIEW
 

Do you believe that the right words can change the perception of a brand, influence behaviours and move business forward? So do we. BDC is looking for a Senior Copywriter who can transform complex business issues into strong ideas, engaging stories and messages that create a real impact for Canadian entrepreneurs. As part of the Creative Services team, you will play a key role in the evolution of our brand by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to design consistent, distinctive and effective communication experiences, from concept to execution.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

• Develop messaging strategies, creative concepts, and high-impact content for advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives.
• Translate complex business issues, offers and topics into simple, compelling messages adapted to different audiences and channels.
• Ensure the evolution, consistency, and application of brand voice across all channels and touchpoints.
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and external partners to deliver integrated communications experiences.
• Leverage GenAI tools to accelerate content ideation, creation, variant creation, testing, and optimization.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of creative practices by staying abreast of industry trends, technologies and best practices.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other related field
• Minimum of 10 years of copywriting experience in the field of marketing and communications (in-house or agency);
• Excellent understanding of French and English
• Exceptional grammar, spelling and sentence structuring skills in both English and French.
• Attention to detail
• Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, while taking responsibility for your work.
• Excellent ability to present ideas and concepts
• Great listening skills and a willingness to learn and progress through feedback.
• Experience in brand image management and/or advertising creation
