Project Information:
The Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGC) Project will double the number of rail tracks and upgrade stations for a 20 kilometre section of the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines between Kuraby, a suburb south of Brisbane’s CBD, and Beenleigh, a suburb of Logan City.
About the Opportunity:
As Contracts Manager reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead commercial administration for major works packages. Manage procurement, negotiating subcontracts, claims and variations, and advise across a multi-partner delivery model. Working with project controls and delivery teams, you will manage commercial risk and help resolve issues before they affect delivery, on one of South East Queensland's largest transport projects.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Lead contract administration for assigned works packages and subcontracts
- Manage claims, variations and change control across the alliance
- Assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risk throughout delivery
- Support procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement across the project
- Review contract compliance and advise leadership on commercial exposure
- Partner with design, delivery and finance teams to resolve issues
- Prepare commercial reporting and forecasts for project governance
Required Skills and Competencies
What capability and experience will you need to have:
- Proven experience in contract administration on major projects
- Experience managing claims, variations and subcontractor issues
- Sound understanding of alliance or joint venture models
- Strong negotiation, risk management and stakeholder engagement
- Tertiary qualification in construction, law or quantity surveying
