Overview of the Role
The Compliance Officer will help ensure that the company operates in accordance with applicable government regulations, internal policies, professional standards, and accepted business practices.
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitor and support the effective implementation of the company’s compliance program.
• Ensure compliance with relevant government agencies, including PEZA, BIR, BOI, SEC, and DOLE.
• Prepare and submit required compliance reports to government agencies within established deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities.
• Monitor regulatory updates and identify potential compliance risks or concerns.
• Keep management informed of significant compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and maintain readiness for audits.
• Collaborate with external consultants, legal counsel, and key stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct or coordinate risk assessments and facility inspections.
• Proactively review processes, practices, and documentation to identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
• Respond to stakeholder due diligence requirements.
• Support compliance-related education and training initiatives across the organization.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve the company’s compliance processes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in audit coordination and dealing with regulatory bodies.
• Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly PEZA, BOI, SEC, DOLE, and other relevant government agencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with relevant industry practices and professional standards.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good business acumen.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
