We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Company Secretary with 0–3 years of experience to support corporate governance, legal compliance, secretarial activities, and statutory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Companies Act, corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and documentation processes. This role is well suited for a qualified Company Secretary or an individual with relevant exposure to secretarial and legal compliance functions.
The candidate will work closely with senior management, legal advisors, finance teams, and external consultants to ensure that all corporate records, statutory filings, and compliance activities are completed accurately and within prescribed timelines.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day Company Secretary and secretarial compliance activities in accordance with applicable corporate laws and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining statutory registers, records, minutes, resolutions, and other corporate documents.
- Support the preparation and filing of statutory forms, returns, and documents with regulatory authorities such as the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).
- Assist with organizing and documenting Board Meetings, General Meetings, committee meetings, and other corporate meetings.
- Prepare agendas, notices, minutes, resolutions, and supporting documentation for meetings.
- Ensure timely completion of routine corporate and regulatory compliances.
- Assist in maintaining accurate corporate records and ensuring proper documentation of company decisions and approvals.
- Support incorporation-related activities, changes in directors or shareholding, amendments to corporate records, and other statutory matters.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, legal professionals, auditors, consultants, and government authorities when required.
- Conduct basic legal and regulatory research and track changes in applicable corporate laws and compliance requirements.
- Assist the legal team and management with agreements, notices, declarations, resolutions, and other corporate documentation.
- Monitor compliance calendars and provide timely updates on upcoming statutory deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive corporate, legal, financial, and business information.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Company Secretary qualification or relevant professional education in corporate secretarial practices.
- Basic knowledge of the Companies Act, corporate governance, and statutory compliance.
- Understanding of legal documentation and corporate legal processes.
- Familiarity with MCA portals, statutory filings, and regulatory documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to research and interpret legal and regulatory information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Qualified Company Secretary (CS) or relevant qualification preferred.
- Candidates with 0–3 years of experience in company secretarial, legal compliance, corporate governance, or related functions can apply.
- Freshly qualified Company Secretaries with relevant internship or practical training experience are encouraged to apply.
