The Role

The Operations team at Javelin plays a key role in supporting the full lifecycle of commodity trades, ensuring transactions are accurately captured, confirmed and settled across a diverse global portfolio.

As a Commodities Operations Specialist, you will work closely with Trading, Logistics and Operations colleagues to support a range of post-trade activities, including confirmations, contracts and operational processes. The role offers exposure to multiple commodities and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Perform T+1 trade checkouts and ensure trades are captured accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide operational support throughout the trade lifecycle.
• Liaise with Trading and Logistics teams to resolve queries and discrepancies.
• Draft and review physical and financial contracts across a range of commodity products.
• Manage trade confirmations and support the maintenance of accurate trade documentation.
• Maintain the confirmation reporting database and associated records.
• Document operational processes and procedures.
• Support operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development of efficient and technology-driven ways of working.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 2+ years' experience within Commodities Operations, Trade Support, Documentation or a similar environment.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Polish.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
• Experience reviewing commercial documentation and contracts would be advantageous.
