Overview:

Sentara Medical Group-Sentara Park is seeking a Flexi/PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our exceptional Float pool team.  This is a Flexi Float Pool position serving Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, VA. Occasional travel to Edenton, Elizabeth City, and Moyock, NC may be required based on staffing needs.

Differential pay is offered for the flexibility and travel required in this role. If you enjoy variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make an impact across multiple clinics, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Schedule: Monday through Friday- Flexi (12 hours per week)

Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

 

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required

• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

 

Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required

 

Certification/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.14 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
