About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Medical Coordinator (Direct Hire Contractor – 1-year contract). This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines.
The Medical Coordinator is responsible for supporting Chevron's U.S. Medical Exams Program through invoice validation, payment coordination, reconciliation, and records management. Ensure invoices are accurate, medically validated, audit-ready, and compliant with HIPAA, privacy, and financial control requirements. The position will report to the Senior Medical Coordinator.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Monitor and manage incoming medical invoices from designated mailboxes
- Validate invoice completeness, accuracy, and supporting documentation
- Verify medical services were completed through EMR and approved medical records before payment
- Process approved invoice payments through established corporate channels
- Obtain and maintain receipts and payment confirmations
- Reconcile invoice payments and support CTREX expense reporting activities
- Investigate invoice discrepancies and payment exceptions
- Maintain organized, searchable, and audit-ready records
- Prepare redacted invoices and protect Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Support audits, reporting, and continuous process improvement efforts
Occupational Health Nurse – Nursing Role. Provide direct nursing care, health assessment, and occupational health support to employees while promoting workplace health and safety.
Clinical Care
- Assess and manage employees presenting with illness, injury, or medical concerns
- Provide first aid, emergency response, and nursing treatment within scope of practice
- Determine when referral to a physician, specialist, or emergency facility is required
Health Surveillance & Screening
- Conduct or support health assessments and medical surveillance programs
- Participate in pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty evaluations
- Monitor employees with health conditions that may impact work fitness
Case Management
- Manage occupational and non-occupational illness and injury cases
- Review medical certificates and treatment recommendations
- Coordinate return-to-work plans, work restrictions, and accommodations
- Monitor recovery and follow-up until case closure
Health Promotion
- Deliver health education, wellness programs, vaccination initiatives, and disease prevention activities
- Promote healthy lifestyles, mental wellbeing, and workplace wellness
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain confidential employee medical records
- Prepare medical reports and regulatory documentation
- Ensure compliance with DOLE requirements, professional nursing standards, and data privacy regulations
Workplace Health Support
- Identify workplace factors that may affect employee health.
- Recommend improvements to support worker wellbeing and occupational health.
- Collaborate with physicians, HR, HSE, and management on employee health matters.
Assist the Philippine HM Manager and Senior Medical Coordinator in the day-to-day clinic management and with the implementation of the following health programs:
- Medical Suitability for Expat Assignment (MSEA)
- Fitness for Duty Process
- Early Injury Management Process
- Wellness Programs
- Case Management
- Drug and Alcohol program
- Fatigue Risk Management
- Periodic Health Exams/ Annual PE requirements
- Medical Record keeping though EMR
- Medical Evacuation process
- Drug and Alcohol Program
- EAP
Other Function
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for referral, work up and follow up to outside medical providers (for local and expat employees).
- Perform MSP Audit to vendors providing medical services to the company.
- Perform home health visits
About You

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a valid PRC Nursing License
- At least one (1) year of experience in a nursing role
- Working knowledge of various occupational health and medical administration functions, including medical invoicing
- Preferably licensed and BOSH-certified to practice as an Occupational Health (OH) Nurse in the Philippines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work on a permanent night-shift schedule
